About Stratford Lions

The Stratford Lions Club is a community service organization based in Stratford, Ontario, comprising of a group of passionate volunteers dedicated to serving their communities. The club was founded in 1959 and has since then, been committed to making meaningful contributions to humanity through philanthropic endeavors, community service, and fundraising initiatives.

The club is a part of the Lions Clubs International, which is the world’s largest service club organization with over 1.4 million members across 210 countries. The Stratford Lions Club follows the same ideals and works towards upholding the primary objective of Lions Clubs International – to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding.

The Stratford Lions Club runs various community service programs and initiatives ranging from local projects like organizing food bank drives, providing eyeglasses to low-income residents, supporting local schools, sponsoring youth programs to global initiatives like providing disaster relief, helping fight against diseases like malaria, and supporting international development projects. Through fundraising efforts like charity auctions, golf tournaments, and pancake breakfasts, the Stratford Lions Club raises funds to support the various community services they undertake.
